Evangelism and ministries of compassion through partners outside the local church has always been a strong focus.
Missionaries and mission groups we support today include:
- Edmonton’s Missions Fest Alberta—we are a founding member church
- The Mustard Seed Street Church—a community outreach started by our Baptist denomination
- Old Strathcona Street Mission—a mission to the disadvantaged of Edmonton
- Intervarsity Christian Fellowship—evangelistic outreach ministry at the university
- Restored Ministries—seeking to restore to sexual freedom and solidify personal identity in Christ to those with sexual addictions
- Adeara—a Christ-based Edmonton addiction recovery program for women
- The Pregnancy Care Centre—a support ministry for pregnant women
- Cornerstone Counseling Centre—Christ-based professional counseling group
- Gull Lake Baptist Camp—Christian camping outreach and discipleship for children, teens, and families
- Canadian Baptists of Western Canada and through them, Canadian Baptist Ministries—a missions agency serving the Lord in 9 countries around the world
- Vacation Bible School—a week-long enthusiastic day-camp-type event during one of the weeks of summer holidays
Missionaries and mission endeavors in the past carried out by church members include:
- Patricia Smith Kachman—a career medical missionary to both India and Kenya. We were her sending church
- John Cline—participated in a teaching mission to train Kenyan pastors
- Rebecca and Jereme Doole—served the Lord in Taiwan for many years, particularly to college-aged students and to the Taiwanese Deaf community
- Daniel Radersma—YWAM outreach in Thailand
- Rebecca Ipe—ministered to the homeless in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and later in Kolkata, India with Mother Teresa’s Sisters of Charity
- Graeme and Serena Rattray—called to reach college-aged students and the sex-trade workers in Chiang Mai, Thailand
- John Renfree—several home-building trips with Habitat for Humanity
- Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child —the filling of shoe boxes for distribution to children
- Myrna Rawding—distribution of the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes with Samaritan’s Purse in Costa Rica
- The Church Youth Group—to Mexico
- Karen Cline – CBM Board Member and Western Canada’s Missions Coordinator
- Young Life and Campus Crusade for Christ—evangelistic and discipleship groups supported in the past
