Bible Study and Prayer takes place in a variety of places throughout the week to people at various stages of their lives. At SGBC, there is a special place for everyone in the whole family to study and learn in small group settings. Be a part of a small group.
40 Days of Prayer
Friday, January 9, 2026, was Day 1 of our 2026 40 Days of Prayer. Each week we had Bible verses to memorize. Click here for the verses from past years. Here were the verses for 2026:
Psalm 56:3 – When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
Psalm 119:9 – How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.
Genesis 12:2 – I will you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
John 3:3 – Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
Romans 8:1 – Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 12:26 – If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it.
Each week, we also prayed a different English-language version of the Lord’s prayer (Matthew 6: 9-13). Additionally, we had specific Bible verses to focus on and pray over each day, noted below.

Ladies Bible Study – Tuesdays
The Ladies Bible Study resumes in the fall on Tuesday September 15 at 6:30pm.
In 2026 the Ladies Bible Study meets on Tuesdays, 6:30 pm, in person in the youth lounge. All women are welcome to attend! They are studying “Knowing the Living God” by Paul David Washer.
Afternoon Prayer – Wednesdays
SGBC is a praying church and we sense that need now more than ever. As the world continues to shift around us, we invite you to join us on Wednesday afternoons for an hour of prayer. We’ll go before the Lord with prayer requests from our church body, prayers for our communities, and prayers for the world.
We meet from 1pm-2pm weekly! Also, if you have any prayer requests, please fill out our prayer request form.
