Bible Study and Prayer takes place in a variety of places throughout the week to people at various stages of their lives. At SGBC, there is a special place for everyone in the whole family to study and learn in small group settings. Be a part of a small group.
Ladies Bible Study – Tuesdays
SGBC Ladies Bible Study group meets every Tuesday starting September 13th through to June 27th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This year, the Ladies Bible Study will be working through “Cultures in Conflict Video Study: Paul Proclaims Jesus As Lord” by Ray Vander Laan. This will be in-person meetings. The Study Group does not only focus on getting a greater appreciation of the Bible, but also provides the space for the development of lasting friendships
Filipino Bible Study – Sundays
Persons originally from the Philippines or have familial ties to the country gather weekly after Sunday Worship Service, between 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. to reflect on God’s word and strengthen their faith. You can also join online. Given the large Filipino membership, persons see this Study Group as an outlet to connect with individuals that share their ethnic and cultural background. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, other members of the congregation regularly attend the meetings because the topics covered transcend ethnicity and culture, and English is the general mode of dialogue. Consequently, anyone who is interested in feeding their soul and receiving guidance as it relates to finding their purpose as a Christian is encouraged to attend. The group is currently online. Afternoon Prayer – Wednesdays
SGBC is a praying church and we sense that need now more than ever. As the world continues to shift around us, we invite you to join us on Wednesday afternoons for an hour of prayer. We’ll go before the Lord with prayer requests from our church body, prayers for our communities, and prayers for the world.
We meet from 1pm-2pm weekly! Also, if you have any prayer requests, please fill out our prayer request form.
